Scope of Position The Security Officer, Armed is responsible for the safety and security of all facility employees, patients, visitors, physicians, and health system property and equipment. The Security Officer is responsible for implementation of the screening process for all individuals presenting for entrance to the Ballad Health facility, clinic practice, and/or department. In addition to obtaining verbal answers to screening questions, the Security Officer is responsible for completing additional data following demonstration of competency to perform the specific task (examples include temperature taking, etc). Excellent customer service interactions/behaviors are required for this role for effective communication with patients, visitors, and health care team. The Security Officer will assure all individuals attempting access to the organization are informed of specific expectations for entry and does not permit entry for any individuals who do not successfully complete screening criteria. The Officer will supervise and enforce all systems designed to monitor or identify personnel and vehicles entering the location, log activity and irregularities, such as equipment or property damage, theft, presence of unauthorized persons, or unusual occurrences. Education and License High School Diploma or High School Equivalency Certificate (GED or HISET) AHA BLS required or obtained within 6 months of hire. For Tennessee locations: Must possess or obtain within 90 days state certification as a private security officer. • Responsible for supporting operation and maintenance of automated production equipment in a production oriented facility. Uses computer systems to help diagnose the cause of some problems with heavy equipment. • Fuels and lubricates equipment and performs preventive maintenance in accordance with manufacturer specifications. • Communicates with the leaders regarding parts and repair orders. • Performs scheduled preventive maintenance tasks as assigned. • There is no supervision of other workers at this level. • Minimizes machine downtime by troubleshooting and resolving mechanical issues. • Demonstrates a strong focus by applying the highest level of service to internal customers through work order processing. • Must be able to work independently and resolve practical problems. • Must complete required training and certification for the Maintenance area in accordance with the Maintenance progression process for a technician. This includes participating in new employee safety training, basic skills training, equipment specific training, material handling equipment, and team building exercises.

Electrical Engineer Technician

The E-Tech will apply skills, knowledge, and experience in the electrical/instrumentation and mechanical areas to prevent downtime and provide repairs to resume production as needed. The position reports to the Director of Maintenance and Engineering and will include projects, down time trouble shooting and repairs. Must be able to work with other electrical and/or mechanical technicians. Read Isometric and ladder type electrical drawings. • Know basic electrical codes. • Understand motor controls. • Must be mechanically inclined to provide support for mechanical maintenance. • Understand industrial safety, PPE, electrical/mechanical Lock Out/Tag Out. • Install, maintain, modify and repair electrical distribution systems and associated electrical equipment. • Remain in compliance with basic electrical codes. • Complete work orders as assigned, taking instruction from other maintenance and production team members. • Must be schedule flexible to allow overtime and weekend hours as needed, agreeable to weekend shift. • Must be able to occasionally work at heights, utilizing forklifts, scissor lifts, etc. • Willing to work in extreme temperatures on occasion as needed.

They tend equipment that mixes chemicals, weighs or measures quantities of ingredients following a formula, operates multiple valves, starts the mixing process & allows it to continue for a specified period of time, transfers material between several areas or tanks, test solutions in tanks or totes using various types of test equipment to detect variations from standards, adjust or makes adds of appropriate ingredients to restore solution to standard. They also record test results, detailed batch data and inventory information.
